Westerner Magazine Interview

So Nick Wale of Westerner Magazine–a new online publication–contacted me and asked whether I’d be up for an interview for their March 2017 issue.

GPH: Are you offering me the chance to talk to folks about Western novels for today’s readers?

Nick Wale: That’s right.

GPH: Then, you bet, I’m up for that!

I’m super pleased about this opportunity because Nick Wale is a tremendous advocate for the Western genre and quite an Old West enthusiast. He’s packed this issue of Westerner with a number of really interesting interviews. And several big names in Western film and fiction are featured.

Within the interview I discuss why I wrote what I wrote, as well as where I’m headed from here. I, also, discuss my thoughts on what makes a Western really work.

If you’re a fan of the West, then I’d encourage you to hop on over to the magazine’s website and download a free copy. There’s no gimmick or obligation involved. Just an enjoyable read.
